We offer both organically and conventionally grown produce in our Talley Boxes. The produce we grow here at Talley Farms for the boxes is grown in certified organic fields (all except our non-GMO bi-color sweet corn which worms love!), using organic fertilizers, sprays and materials. The produce we purchase from other farms for the boxes can be organic or conventional. We work to buy organic first if it’s available and affordable. Local organic produce is not always available, especially in the winter when much of the organic produce is grown in Mexico. We focus on local first, organic when available, which gives our boxes more year-round variety, higher quality and better value. All of the farms we buy from practice strict food safety regulations and have food safety certifications. Please feel free to contact us at FreshHarvest@Talleyfarms.com with questions on how we grow.

No, we do not use GMO seed and none of the produce we buy from other growers is from GMO seed. Even our bi-color sweet corn comes from non-GMO seed.

Yes! We are certified yearly with GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and LGMA (Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement.) We go through annual scheduled audits and more frequent surprise audits.

No, our boxes are not certified organic because they contain both organically and conventionally grown produce. Many of the items in our boxes are grown organically, but not all of them are so it is not a 100% certified organic box.

You can visit the farm on a scheduled farm tour. We offer farm tours on announced, scheduled days, usually during spring.  We offer educational farm tours for schools and other organizations but not in August through October when we are in the midst of our busy bell pepper season. Contact FreshHarvest@TalleyFarms.com to schedule a tour.

No, not everything in our Talley Farms Boxes is grown by us. We buy from other California farms, giving our boxes more variety, a good value and allowing us to provide you with the best produce available.

Go to your pick up location between the designated pick-up hours. Be sure and sign next to your name on the delivery list to confirm that you are scheduled for a box that day. Double check the type of box you ordered. Original Boxes are brown, Junior boxes are white and if your customized your box it will be labeled specifically with your name. Please pick up your box on the day it is delivered. Produce is perishable and our pick-up locations do not have refrigeration.

Yes! Just be sure they sign next to your name on the list at the pick up location and know the correct box size to pick up for you.

Yes! Just sign into your account and choose “change location.” You can change it permanently or just for one time. If it’s just a one time change, be sure and change it back after your pick up day.

Call your pick up location first thing in the morning to see if it is still there. Talley Farms does not pick up left over boxes at locations nor do we know who picked up and who didn’t. Customers are responsible for remembering to pick up their box on the day it is delivered.

If your box is not at your location the following day please contact us at FreshHarvest@TalleyFarms.com or 805-489-5401. Boxes that are not picked up at our locations are donated to local food distribution facilities or are enjoyed by employees of our pick up locations. The food will not go to waste.

If you can’t find your name on the list, first please double check the date on the front page and make sure it is today’s date. If that is correct, and your name is not on the list, please do not take a box. Instead, call us at 805-489-5401 so we can figure out why your name isn’t on the list and get you scheduled for a box.

Then most likely, someone else took your box by accident. Please contact us at FreshHarvest@TalleyFarms.com or 805-489-5401 immediately and we will get you taken care of.

If you pick up your Talley Farms Box at one of our convenient pick up locations, please return your empty box on your next delivery day. Please carefully fold your box, being careful not to rip it. Most of our drop locations have a container where you can return your empty boxes. Please do not return the paper liner as we cannot reuse it. Please recycle it.

We use a recyclable paper liner in our boxes for food safety protocol and so that we can reuse our boxes. The paper lines protects your produce while your box is being transported to you. It also allows us to reuse the boxes by lining them with a fresh liner. Your paper liner is recyclable so discard it in your blue trash can.

We prepack some of the produce items into plastic bags so that we can weigh or count them out ahead of packing your box. It also protects that produce item, preventing it from rolling around in your box and being bruised, crushed or snapped. Most produce items like to be stored in the fridge inside a sealed plastic bag, so consider it us helping you put your produce away when you get home. Simply take the bagged item from your box and store it safely in your fridge until you’re ready to enjoy it.

We deliver on the Central Coast of California to pick-up locations from Paso Robles down to Goleta.
