Farmer Feature: Hambly Farms

Last month, Michelle had to opportunity to tour Hambly Farms with owner, Gina Hambly. Gina and her husband, Milton, along with their 3 kids, have farmed and curated an impressive lavender farm in the hills of San Miguel.

The Hambly family has deep roots in the Paso Robles area, with their kids being the 6th generation to be raised in this community. Their journey growing lavender began in 2019 and each year the production has increased; they currently have 5,400 plants on property. While it’s been 6 years since they began this journey, this is the 3rd year that the plants are really producing. The average lifespan of a lavender plant is 8-10 years, but up to 20. So far, no two years on the farm have been the same, especially with the amount of blooms occurring.

Hambly Farms does all the distilling on property for their lavender oil. They have a variety of products that they carry like essential oil, sachets, hydrosol all-purpose spray, and skincare, to name a few. We currently offer their body lotion, oil roller, salve, goats milk soap, and lavender spray available to add on to your Talley box. We look forward to our continued relationship with Hambly Farms.
