2-3 heads of little gem lettuce or romaine hearts, cut in half lengthwise

Homemade Croutons:
Fresh baguette or a loaf of sourdough
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
For homemade croutons: Tear bread into bite-size pieces. Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Add bread and oil, toss until bread browns and gets crispy on all sides. This takes about 15 mins. Once toasted, remove from pan and let cool.
For grilled salad: Heat your grill to high heat.
Place lettuce, cut side down on grates, and sear quickly until sear lines appear and lettuce turns bright green. Remove immediately and place on a large serving platter. Drizzle with your favorite Caesar dressing, homemade croutons, and freshly shaved parmesan.
