Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients

  • 10 jalapeños, halved and deseeded
  • 10 thinly sliced bacon strips, cut in half
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. To a mixing bowl combine room temperature cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Cut jalapeños in half, removing the seeds, and membrane.
  3. Cut bacon in half
  4. Fill each halved jalapeño with the cream cheese mixture. Wrap the stuffed jalapeño with bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or bbq over medium heat until bacon is cooked and jalapeños are slightly softened.
