Summer is officially ramping up, and so are the farms! Most vegetables favor our cool and consistent Mediterranean climate here in Arroyo Grande, which is why we can consistently offer crisp lettuce, sweet carrots, fresh broccoli, radishes, and beets almost year-round. Summer fruits, however, like watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, juicy grapes, and stone fruit love the heat. We partner with growers in the desert to bring us the sweetest melons you will ever eat and grapes that burst with juice. They do not even compare to the fruits offered throughout the year in grocery stores. These will be coming soon in your boxes this June, along with more berries and cherries! Crisp cucumbers, sweet red onions, and our beloved Lyon artichokes will be front and center as we kickstart the flavors of summer.
