Strawberry Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, minced (use seeds and veins for extra heat, remove them for less heat)
  • 2 thin slices red onion, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss!
  2. Note: Do not make the salsa too far in advance or the berries will start to degrade.
